"Michelle Todd stood out for her lively stage presence, highly expressive face and delightful singing"
THE TIMES (LONDON)

Hello and Welcome to my website!

The revue "Broadway on the Avenue" has now opened for a limited summer engagement in Banff, Canada and is two hours of pure fun and melodies from the world's most well known musicals. The show also stars David Rogers (who among many roles played the title role in The Phantom of the Opera") and Mark Cassius (who appeared in Ragtime on Broadway and toured the world as a member of The Nylons.) Check us out at www.broadwayonbanff.com

In September I will be back in the UK for a return engagement with the Scarborough Spa Orchestra where I will be showcasing my new  programme titled Reel Music- classical songs from Oscar nominated movies.  New performance dates are being added so I will keep you informed on the schedule pages. A special event will be a concert of 18th century harpischord and voice music at Handel House in London in November. The performance will take place in Handel's original music room!
Do please check out the new recording by the trio "Arria".We had great fun making it in London and it is proving especially popular on itunes.  Information about the new Arria disc and a link to the Arria website is available on my recordings page. Details of Arria's two lunchtime recitals in London can also be found on my news/infopages.

My new recording, "Grace Notes", is now on sale throughout the UK, Ireland, and in Canada. I was thrilled when it received airplay on BBC radio and most recently on CKUA.You can listen to samples and purchase it on my recordings page. It is also available on itunes, amazon.com and cdbaby.com. I've wanted to record the songs on Grace Notes for such a long time and was delighted to use members of the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, Kensington Sinfonia and Foothills Brass in the arrangements.

Although the CD is primarily a recording of classical songs, I wanted to show the variety I experience in my performing career. Accordingly, the classics of Bach, Handel and Mozart are contrasted with the more popular style of Andrew Lloyd Webber and the folksong style of the hymn "How Can I keep from Singing". Enjoy!

Thank you for all of your emails- some of you asked to see photos from some of my past productions so I hope you like the ones I have chosen and am presenting on this website. Also, in answer to another query. I enjoy the singing styles of many sopranos. I am constantly inspired and intrigued by the work of Renne Fleming, Dawn Upshaw, Barbara Bonney, Patricia Petibon, Kathleen Battle, Sumi Jo, Sissel, Sarah Brightman, Katherine Jenkins and Celtic Woman. Also the versatility of Bryn Terfel and Il Divo.
